Olaf Wentrup

Bio
Olaf Wentrup is a Managing Director and Head of IR Europe. He joined Apax in 2023 and is currently based in the Munich branch of Apax Management Luxembourg SARL, responsible for fundraising and client services for investors in Europe.
Prior to joining Apax, Olaf was an Executive Director in the Private Funds Advisory Group at Moelis & Company in London, co-leading the Primary Fundraising activities. Olaf also worked at Mercury Capital Advisors and Berchwood Partners in London covering institutional European investors. Previously he worked in the Financial Sponsors Group of Credit Agricole in New York and the Direct Private Equity team of WestLB in Germany.
Olaf holds a Master in International Finance and Economics from Columbia University and a BA in International Business Administration from Wiesbaden Business School.

He leveraged his international finance and economics background, extensive travels to more than 100 countries, and multilingual competency to gain perspectives and local insights. This cultural awareness and diverse mindset have been foundational to his success in capturing opportunities to create long-term value for investors across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
