Promoting Equality in African Schools
PEAS is a UK-based charity dedicated to expanding access to affordable, quality secondary education across sub-Saharan Africa. Operating 38 schools in Uganda, Zambia, and Ghana, PEAS serves over 225,000 students annually, with a strong focus on empowering girls and marginalized communities. Their SmartAid model combines low fees, government subsidies, and income-generating projects to ensure financial sustainability. PEAS also collaborates with governments to improve over 300 partner schools, sharing best practices and supporting system-wide educational reforms. Their mission is to unlock the potential of young people through inclusive and high-quality education.
