Varunsrinivas Sridharan

Bio

Varunsrinivas Sridharan is a Vice President in the India team. He joined Apax in 2025 and is currently based in Mumbai, India. Prior to joining Apax, Varun was a member of GIC’s Private Equity team in India, where he worked across growth and buyout transactions. He also worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group's Mumbai office, where he advised clients across consumer and other industries. Varun holds a MBA Degree from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) and a B.Tech & M.Tech Degree from IIT Madras.

Living our values

My grandmother is my inspiration. Not receiving education beyond high school, not fluent in English, and widowed at young age, she met every hardship with curiosity and quiet resolve. Through unrelenting learning and adaptation, she nurtured a flourishing, happy family tree. Her journey embodies the ‘learn, adapt and grow’ mindset. We may not determine our starting line, but—like her—we can keep learning and adapting until we arrive at our dreamed-of destination.

A committed investor, he is fuelled each day by the quest for fresh, differentiated perspectives across markets, industries and companies. Away from work, Varun relaxes with a good movie—anything from enduring cult favourites to the latest box-office releases—and enjoys donning the apron beside his fiancée as they experiment with bold new cuisines.
