Rachel Wang

Associate, Apax Digital

Bio

Rachel Wang is an associate on the Apax Digital team. She joined Apax in 2024 and is currently based in NYC.

Prior to joining Apax, Rachel was a member of McKinsey & Company in San Francisco, where she worked across semiconductor, networking hardware & software, infrastructure software, gaming, automotive, EV and fintech projects. She also worked as a lawyer at Kirkland & Ellis’ New York office, where she advised public and private companies on M&A, restructuring, capital markets, shareholder activism, funds and special situations in pharmaceuticals, telecom, software, retail and gaming industries.

Rachel holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame and a JD from Harvard Law School.

Living our values

Having grown up in Beijing, China in the 90s and early 2000s, I witnessed how fast the economy progressed and society changed. Many of my role models are individuals who have been able to adapt their career and life trajectories to respond to the tide of the times. Having entered the work force in 2019, I find myself in an age where global and regional dynamics are fast evolving and technology advancement accelerating. “Learn, adapt and grow” is the way forward.

Rachel's Story

Rachel learned about the value of collaboration from directing and producing plays in high school. When music, dance, dialogue, lights, costume and set come together, they create an experience greater than sum of the parts. Rachel is attracted to Apax’s collaborative culture and the opportunity to bring together various teams to support the growth of young tech firms.
