Hans Lee (Hyunchul)

Bio
Hans Lee is a Principal in the Investor Relations team based in Hong Kong. He joined Apax in July 2025 and serves as a Head of IR Korea responsible for fundraising and client servicing in Korea.
Prior to joining Apax, Hans spent more than two decades in investment banking and capital markets roles, most recently as Executive Director at KB Securities in Seoul. Earlier in his career, Hans was Head of Global Finance at Kookmin Bank, where he executed cross-border fund investments and structured financings in the US, Europe, and Asia. He also held roles at Hyundai Securities in Seoul.
Hans holds a BA in Economics from New York University.

Hans' Story
Before joining Apax, Hans worked in the placement agent business, advising private equity firms on fundraising and investor relations. Although he had not expected to join Apax, his career has always been closely tied to the investment environment. With experience spanning the capital stack — from equity to loans — he developed a broad perspective on how investors evaluate opportunities. At Apax, Hans focuses on fundraising and client service, partnering with institutional investors to build long-term relationships and support their objectives.
