Home-grown Talent

7th December 2020

We like to grow our own teams, and we do that by investing in our people from an early stage. Most of our investment team joined at the Associate level. This is the talent pool from which we build our leadership teams of tomorrow. In addition, we recently started an Analyst Program, where we hire directly from universities with no prior experience needed.  The idea of home-grown is also the case across the firm including our Operational Excellent team, Investor Relations and Operations team.  Many of our professionals, including myself, have been able to take on more responsibility and progress their careers at the firm.

In addition to on-the-job experience, we provide our people development opportunities and formal training through Apax University.  We champion the growth of employees at Apax by promoting from within, sponsoring continuing education, and providing operational experience within our portfolio companies.

An environment for direct advancement requires active inclusion. At Apax everyone, regardless of their level, is expected to contribute, question and take responsibility for our business and our people.

Apax offers not only unrivalled development opportunities and direct hands-on experience, but also a truly global opportunity to develop sector expertise and relevant skills.

“I wanted to join a firm that had a commitment to human capital development, something I had become accustomed to at McKinsey. Several of our senior leadership have worked in consulting firms and they had brought some of those principles to the firm. There is a very collegiate atmosphere, a culture of support, and mentorship to help you learn and develop.”
