London Youth Rowing
London Youth Rowing (LYR) is a pioneering charity dedicated to empowering young people through the sport of rowing. They engage over 5,500 young individuals annually across London, Yorkshire, Nottingham, Kent, and Bristol. LYR's flagship programme, Active Row, introduces students to indoor and on-water rowing, focusing on those from disadvantaged backgrounds, including girls and individuals with special educational needs. Integrated Life Skills sessions teach essential competencies such as teamwork, leadership, and resilience. Additional initiatives include teacher training, talent development, and alternative provision programmes for at-risk youth.
