Patrick Kane is a Principal in the Healthcare team. He joined Apax Partners in 2018 and is currently based in New York. His Apax deal experience includes InnovAge and Coalfire Systems.
Prior to joining Apax Partners, Patrick was the founder and CEO of a venture-backed mobile data and analytics business based in Berlin, Germany. Patrick led the company from inception through to its sale to a London Stock Exchange listed business in 2018. Prior to his entrepreneurial venture, Patrick was a Senior Associate with Vestar Capital Partners in New York and Munich. Prior to Vestar, Patrick was a member of the Healthcare Group at Morgan Stanley in New York.
Patrick holds an MBA from INSEAD and a B.A. in International Studies, magna cum laude, from Middlebury College.
Patrick serves on the board of Kepro.
Patrick was drawn to Apax because of its global perspective, entrepreneurial mindset and digital bias. Before joining the Firm, Patrick spent eight years outside the U.S., leading a team of over 15 nationalities as CEO of a venture-backed company. Patrick’s experience as an entrepreneur – humbling, frustrating and thrilling – gives him a true appreciation for the role of management teams and the importance of culture – two traits that he found uniquely respected and exemplified at Apax.
