Living our values

“Since becoming an expat at age 5, frequent international relocations forced me to embrace change and clumsily stumble to adapt to it. This sparked a sink-or-swim instinct which I channelled into a constant process of observation, iteration, and advancement that has guided me through the various phases of my life (including my relocations across 3 of Apax’s global offices).  This is why “We learn, adapt, and grow” hits particularly close to home.”

Marcelo's Story

Marcelo’s excitement for technology began in 1979, when he first picked up a joystick for an Atari 2600. His love for investing began a few years later -- on his 15th birthday, when he received 3 shares of a public company as an unexpected birthday present.
Since joining Apax over 20 years ago, he’s been able to channel his passions for tech and investing into a career. He was most attracted to Apax because of its entrepreneurial nature, which he was able to contribute to by co-founding Apax Digital in 2017.
