City Harvest

City Harvest tackles food poverty and food waste across London by rescuing nutritious, in-date surplus food from farms, manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers that would otherwise go to waste. It sorts and redistributes this food free of charge to more than 300 community partners, including food banks, homeless shelters, refuges, schools and community kitchens, reaching over 130,000 people each week. Its model simultaneously improves access to nutritious food, reduces costs for frontline charities and prevents food waste and associated greenhouse-gas emissions.
