Cathy Zoi joins the Apax Global Impact Advisory Board

Apax Partners LLP (“Apax”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cathy Zoi as a member of the Apax Global Impact (AGI) Advisory Board.

Cathy is an experienced executive with significant expertise in clean energy and the environment, and has held a range of CEO, executive and board roles in the energy industry, non-profit sector, academia, and government. She was the Founding Chief Executive Officer of the Alliance for Climate Protection, a nonprofit organisation focused on climate solutions which was established and chaired by former US Vice President Al Gore, was CEO of clean energy companies EVgo and SunEdison Frontier Power, and President and Co-Founder of Odyssey Energy Solutions. Cathy also served in the Obama Administration as Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and Acting Under Secretary at the Department of Energy, where she oversaw more than $30 billion in energy investments.

In her new role, Cathy will advise Apax Global Impact on its long-term growth strategy with a particular focus on environment and resources. She will leverage her extensive experience in the clean energy and environment sector to advise the strategy on a number of matters, including new investments, impact measurement and the driving of impact across partner companies.

Cathy joins five other industry experts on the Board, including Sir Ronald Cohen, George Serafeim, Sir Ian Davis, Laura T. Dyson and Jason Wright.
