Bio

Neil Patel is the Global Head of IT at Apax based in the London office.

Neil joined Apax in 2005. He is responsible for developing and maintaining the Information Technology strategy to meet business requirements.

He started his career at Apax as a Service Desk Analyst and was promoted through various roles within IT to become Global Head of IT.

Neil sits on a number of client advisory boards and enjoys advising technology startups with their growth plans. He has also helped a number of charities develop and define their technology strategy.

Neil holds a BSc degree in Business Studies from Cass Business School.

“During my teenage years I built and raced go-karts, winning a number of competitions with friends. It was a real team effort: the four of us had our own specific roles. Due to my athletic composition (I was the lightest!) I was the driver. I learned our success was due to the collective effort of each individual playing to their own strengths. Neil credits his 15-year tenure at Apax to the opportunity of working with amazingly talented, collaborative and diverse professionals. As Director of IT, he enjoys finding practical uses of technology to improve how the business operates. He is a change agent, finding the challenge of implementing technological change in a fast paced and geographically dispersed organisation both stimulating and rewarding.
