In addition to serving on AGI’s Advisory Board, Cathy is currently on the boards of directors of Con Edison and Soli Organic, and is an Obvious Ventures ‘Champion’.
Most recently, Cathy was CEO of EVgo from 2017-2023. Past executive roles have included co-founding and leading Odyssey Energy Solutions, SunEdison Frontier Power, the Alliance for Climate Protection, and the NSW Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA). She served as the US Department of Energy’s (DOE) Assistant Secretary and Acting Under Secretary during the Obama Administration. Cathy’s prior work as a private equity investor was with Silver Lake and Bayard Capital. She also taught and did research on scaling climate solutions at Stanford for five years. Early in her career Cathy worked on environmental policy both in the Clinton White House and at the US EPA, during which time she pioneered the ‘Energy Star’ program.
Cathy has a BS in Geology from Duke University and a MS in Engineering from Dartmouth College.
