Apax has embedded sustainability checks into its investment
process and assesses all potential new investments against ESG
criteria. It has also turned that focus on its own
internal operations and has defined values against which all business
should be conducted.
Carbon reduction in the Apax offices
Apax has also embraced a number of initiatives to reduce
its carbon footprint and after an independent assessment by the
Carbon Neutral Co has achieved carbon neutral status.
Target 2012 - Doing more with less
Driving down waste and energy usage is an important and
ongoing process for Apax offices. Under the Target 2012 initiative,
offices are pushing to meet a further reduction in energy
consumption and cost by at least 12%. Other aims actively
being targeted under the initiative include;
- Reducing water usage
- Reducing unnecessary paper consumption and switching to
recycled paper stocks
- Enhancing recycling capabilities
- Consolidation of suppliers to reduce carbon emissions from
deliveries
- Promoting low emissions transport for office travel
