We are steadily building an endowment for our Foundation to provide it with a permanent source of funding into the future. The Trustees decided that a proportion of our assets should be devoted to social investments - in other words, investments that generate a positive social impact as well as a financial return.

We chose social entrepreneurship as the focus for our major grant giving as it is the logical extension of what we do commercially and builds on our history of support in that area, most notably as one of the founders of Bridges Ventures.  It is also an area where some of our Trustees have significant experience.

The Private Equity Foundation

The Private Equity Foundation (PEF) was set up in 2006 to support children and young people to enable them to reach their full potential.  By offering support early in their lives, through their teenage years and by supporting the transition from school to work, PEF aims to catch those disadvantaged children who slip through the net and help them into sustainable employment.
