Experience and qualifications
Robert Whipple is a Principal in the Retail &
Consumer team and is based in the New York
office. He has
participated in a number of key deals including Advantage Sales and
Marketing and Kinetic Concepts, Inc. He was also involved in
the portfolio management and sale of MagnaCare Holdings.
Following Apax's investment in Advantage Sales and Marketing,
Robert worked on-site with the management team for an extended
period of time assisting the company in various projects, including
the implementation of the 100 day plan. He subsequently
participated in the formation of and Advantage's investment in
Advantage WayPoint.
Prior to joining Apax Partners, Robert was an Associate at Aurora
Capital Group (a Los Angeles-based private equity firm) and an
Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley.
Robert holds an MBA with a concentration in Strategic Management
from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA
in Economics and Politics from Pomona College
