Experience and qualifications
Marcelo Gigliani is a Partner in the Media team. Since joining
Apax Partners in 2001, Marcelo has worked in London and Madrid and
is currently based in New York. Marcelo has both led and
participated in a number of key investments across the Media,
Technology, Business Services, and Healthcare sectors throughout
North America and Europe, including Trader Corporation, Dealer.com,
ALM, Cengage Learning, Wisdom Entertainment, Capio, Electro-Stocks,
rue21, eDreams and Fractus.
In addition to joining the Dealer.com board, Marcelo is
currently a Director on the boards of Trader Corporation, the
leading Canadian online auto classified advertising and online lead
generation company, Cengage Learning, a global leader in
educational content, and ALM, one of the leading information
services providers to the North American legal sector.
Prior to joining Apax Partners, Marcelo was a Consultant for
Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman), where he advised
leading European Media and Communications companies.
Marcelo received a BSc in Business Administration (summa cum
laude) from Boston University and an MBA from Harvard Business
School.
