Experience and qualifications
James Tieng is a Senior Associate based in New York. James
originally joined Apax Partners in 2009 as a Summer Associate
before joining full-time in 2010. He is a member of the Financial
& Business Services team and his deal experience includes the
take-private of Bankrate.
Prior to joining Apax Partners, James was an investment
professional at Irving Place Capital, a private equity firm focused
on investments in middle-market companies, where he completed
transactions in the healthcare and energy sectors. Previously, he
was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company as a member
of the Corporate Finance & Strategy Practice.
James holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an AB in
Economics from Princeton University.
