Experience and qualifications
Amedeo Carassai is a Partner in the Retail &
Consumer team. He is based between London and Milan. Amedeo
originally joined Apax Partners in 2003 in Milan where he
specialised in the Retail & Consumer space. He has
led and participated in a number of key deals including Sisal,
Farmafactoring and Weather and has served as board member to a
number of Apax portfolio companies including Sisal, Wind and
Plantasjen.
Prior to joining Apax Partners, Amedeo was Chief Investment
Officer at Syntek Capital and a partner with McKinsey &
Company, where he specialised in advising clients in the telecom
sector.
Amedeo holds a MSc in management from the MIT Sloan School of
Management and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University
of Rome.
