The board of Emap International Ltd ("Emap") today announces the
appointment of Duncan Painter as chief executive officer. He
replaces David Gilbertson, who stepped down in May.
Duncan, 41, is currently managing director of Sky IQ, a
subsidiary of BSkyB. Sky IQ provides customer intelligence services
to BSkyB and FTSE 100 companies including Centrica and Zurich
Financial Services.
Duncan has been with Sky for the last two years. His previous
roles include global product leader at Experian Marketing Services,
chief executive officer of consumer intelligence company
ClarityBlue and European systems integration director for Hitachi
Data Systems. He led the management buyout of ClarityBlue in 2003
prior to its sale to Experian in 2006. His start date at Emap will
be announced in due course.
Irina Hemmers, chairman of Emap and a partner at joint
shareholder Apax Partners, said: "Duncan has extensive experience
of leading successful B2B and data companies and was the stand-out
candidate for the role. The board is delighted that he will be
joining Emap as chief executive officer."
