Experience and qualifications

Marcelo Gigliani is a Managing Partner at Apax Digital and focuses on growth buyout and growth equity investments in leading consumer internet, enterprise software, and technology-enabled services companies. Marcelo joined Apax Partners in 1999 and has most recently been a Partner in the Apax Digital practice and the Services Group. He is based in New York, after having previously worked out of Apax’s London and Madrid offices.

Since joining the firm, Marcelo has both led and participated in a number of the Apax Funds’ digital deals, including Dominion Marine Media (BoatTrader), Idealista, Trader Corporation (AutoTrader Canada), Dealer.com, Answers/ForeSee, Wisdom Entertainment, and eDreams. He is a member of the Apax Digital Investment Committee and has served as adviser and non-executive board member to a number of the Apax Funds’ portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Apax, Marcelo was a Consultant for Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman), where he advised leading European Media and Communications companies in digital acceleration matters.

Marcelo holds a BS (summa cum laude) from Boston University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
