Experience and qualifications
Giancarlo Aliberti is a Partner in the Services team and joined the firm in 2000, based in London. Beyond a leadership position in the Services team, he leads Apax activities in Italy, Turkey and Greece.
He has both led and participated in a number of key deals including Weather Investments, Banca Farmafactoring, Tim Hellas, Sisal, Rhiag, Chola, Azelis, Shriram City Union Finance and Engineering. He is a director on the boards of Azelis, and Engineering, and previously served on the boards of Azimut, Tim Hellas, Banca Farmafactoring, Rhiag and Sisal.
Prior to joining Apax Partners, Giancarlo was a Senior Vice President at Monitor Company, where he specialised in telecommunications and consulting support to private equity firms. He also worked at Montedison in a staff function supporting the President of the company.
Giancarlo holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a summa cum laude degree in Economics from University of Rome.
