Experience and qualifications
Irene Liu is a principal in the Retail & Consumer team. She joined Apax Partners in 2009 and is currently based in China. Her Apax deal experience includes SouFun.com, Golden Jaguar and Tommy Hilfiger China.
Prior to joining Apax Partners, Irene was a member of Morgan Stanley's Mergers, Acquisitions and Restructuring Group in Hong Kong, where she worked on Asian M&A and financing transactions. She also worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company's Shanghai and New York offices, where she advised clients from retail & consumer and other industries.
Irene holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MSc in Finance and Economics from London School of Economics, and a BA in International Economics from Fudan University.
